Their eyes were watching god

I loved the movie. Halle Berry and Michael Ealy were so in love. I absolutely hated the first husband. He was rude, disrespectful, and an all around bastard. The part I found disturbing was that he was well respected and well known for his disrespect for his wife. Women even followed and respected him. This showed how sometimes women support men that had no respect for them no farther than trying to have intercourse with them.  Tea Cake her new man was younger, however it seemed he loved her. The first kiss they had was so powerful, it actually made me believe in love for a moment. I absolutely, hated the fact that she had to kill him. If only they left, she would still be with him. I find this to be the best black woman love story. Mostly because of the connection between Tea Cake and Janie, it was beautiful.  I could not imagine having to kill a man I loved so dearly. She was so happy with him. I do not know how she did it. The other fact that caught my eye was some widows would find new men and have to worry about their new beau taking all their money and leaving them. This is just  another reality that black women had to face. Black women had to take a chance on love and were sometimes burned. The point I applaud them for is trying, because today some black women have given up.
