The Great Migration was a turning point for African Americans. Black women in some aspects had a greater risk. Black women after traveling were sometimes never heard from again, after leaving. However, the threat was not just white people, it was black men as well. The thought of being raped, becoming a sex slave, or getting murdered is a scary thought even today. Black women took a huge risk. The thing that infuriates me off the most is thinking that black men would sometimes leave their families and start new ones
